NOTE:

The OFA site reports that to date, only two dogs who tested clear for the genes that puts dogs at risk, were actually confirmed to have developed DM;  Corgis not specified.

On Welsh Corgi News, researcher Bobbie Mayer PhD reported that a minute number of dogs who had tested to be carriers for DM actually developed the disease.  None were corgis.  

​

This same article reports that in 2014 researchers conducted an owner survey estimated that roughly 30% of corgis who were at-risk went on to develop DM.
